When I first read this article I thought something completely different from technology because of the title though. But when I read it, I'd understand the article talks a lot about how technology developed from earlier year to now, and how technology became important to human life. The article started with designers create computers, mobile communicators, cell phones and the interfaces that run on these and other devices- on objects that will give us access to functions to information. Also designers attention is focused on traits common to as many cultures as possible, such as instinctive gestures the interfaces of the Nintendo Wii and apple iPhone for instance. Then they talks about the evolution of society has happened to the balance between the individual and collective spheres. Then they move on to talks about how wireless networks grows by the number of users or collaborating openly on projects as disparate as software programs and charity drives has become the modus operandi at all levels of industrial development and income. Then in 1978 the walkman was introduced, the walkman marked the beginning of revolution that has touched numerous facets of our existence sparked by smaller and smaller electronic.
